Is it that mixture of pleasure and pain that there is a space where we disconnect for a while from another person to deflect our anger and disease.  Sublimation is a term that I use to describe this work as it's contents are as original as the act of creating life.  Then a life story begins much so as other paintings in this series were produced.  So in fact the visual pun is on reproduction and the binary systems of love and hate.
